Last night I spent some time, like a few hours, at a brewery not too far from my apartment. A little place called Flatland Brewery. I’d never been there before but the girlfriend had. Pretty chill place. Wasn’t busy at all until 8 p.m. rolled around. Every Wednesday they do trivia. Unless its sports trivia I’m god awful at the game. Like if there’s eight questions I might be leaving five of them blank. Way over the top of my head but I’m there for the beer not the trivia. As the night was winding down, one of the owners of the place mentioned Flatland was going to be at the Bernie’s Bacon and Beer Festival Saturday. Tickets range from $75 to $35 for general admission. Honestly, seems like a ridiculous price for some samples and beer and bacon. But there’s gonna be 20 plus bacon samples, 100 plus beer varieties, a bacon eating contest (I vote for Pumba to win), mechanical pig to ride (also I vote that Pumba won’t make it 3 seconds on that) and live entertainment. If you love beer and bacon and want to get outta the house, here’s what you are doing Saturday. No this blog wasn’t sponsored by Flatland or the festival but also what’s up Bottled Sports is looking for ads. If you go to this let us at Bottled Sports know and we’d like to challenge anyone to a dark beer drink off.
Also, here’s what the event looked like a few years ago.
