There’s this theme that all professional athletes make music. Most are fukn terrible and they end up just releasing an album or EP because they have the money. But throughout the morning I’ve been fukn with Nick Gordon’s music. Gordon is 22 years old and plays shortstop for Class AA Chattanooga Lookouts and was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft. He’s actually the brother of Dee Gordon who plays for the Seattle Mariners.
Nick is known as G-Cinco in the music world and released his EP (extended player, I don’t know it’s a music term) in January. His most poppin’ song on the EP is called Im the Man and has 23,000 views on Youtube. He also has a banger called Big Checks.
I play baseball.. But I rap occasionally 💯✊🏾 pic.twitter.com/PZIaq512wU

Nick was ranked the Twins #1 prospect after the 2016 season and was even nabbed the #9 prospect in the Southern League in 2017. The former #5 draft pick can play ball. Last season for Chattanooga he hit .270 with 29 doubles, nine home runs and eight triples. He also had 66 RBIs and 13 stolen bases.
The question now becomes, is he a baseball player first and rapper second? Or is he a rapper first and baseball player second? He’s got a feature in either or.
